About Us

Future for Afghanistan Children Organization is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization attempts to help needy children in education and acting as a supporting agent for children in need and vulnerable groups, particularly girls and women.

We have more female members than male members. 66% of the founders of the organization and 75% of the social workers are female. 60% of board members are women. It is much easier for female social workers to communicate with families than male social workers.The addition of educational activities for children, the launch and implementation of educational projects, workshops and training seminars are held in order to improve the capacity of target groups in collaboration.

Mission: It is our mission to provide education and assistance to children, their families’ special girls living in poverty to give them the tools to reach their full potential. We seek to help girls and boys who have been identified as high achievers, to remain in school and increase their level of education. We believe that education is a basic human right which should be accessible to all children regardless of race, gender, class status or economic background. We work for a better future for children and their families.

Supporting Millennium Development Goals:

We support the United Nations 2015 Millennium Development Goals to eradicate hunger, promote primary education and gender equality in the classroom. FACO directly supports three of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals:

• To Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
• To Achieve Universal Primary Education
• Promote gender equality and empower women

Partnership: Future for Children of Afghanistan Organization is ready for any kind of cooperation and contribution in educational, social, cultural and health programs or projects that are useful for developing society and improving the situation of children with legal institutions working on such issues.

Board of Directors: The Board of Directors currently consists of three people. FACO has a group of caring and attentive social workers who are voluntarily helping children and families.
